I had a pretty good Christmas. I got a "companion" for The Da Vinci Code, a handbook on secret societies, an MP3 player, lotsa candy, Target and Best Buy gift cards from my aunts & uncles, and some other assorted stuff.Hoppe came to the family brunch. I had a few aunts comment to me on how good-looking he is, and how well he speaks English. :) My littlest cousin, Kathleen (who's 9, and is my little angel), liked him; he taught her some German (I made him teach her GOOD phrases).I got him the new Rammstein CD (Reise, Reise) and Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here.Today, we walked all around downtown so he could get some pictures and footage, and the 2 miles to get to an open restaurant. So we've probably done ~10 miles of walking this week. Then we went back to the hostel, and hung out. I had brought over Boondock Saints (still can't believe I lost my copy of it *sniff*), and he liked it. :)Then we just ate, and watched tv. He leaves early tomorrow afternoon, though. :(And Eric, yes, I'm still excited about coming to see you. :p
So. We go to the Old City (old part of downtown K-town), and go into a cute little coffee shop. We drink cappuccinos, and make plans for the day.We walk the ~20-minute walk (in the cold) to the City County Building, where the city buses come. We hop on, and head to the mall. We play with the puppies, eat (I introduced him to cajun), and go see Meet the Fockers. That is quite possibly one of the funniest movies I've seen in my life; Hoffman has great interaction with the rest of the cast; I loved the interplay between De Niro and Streisand.. I should see the original again.We go back home, have dinner, and he shows me his spiffy camera. He has some stored photos of Santa Barbara, CA (where he goes to school). He shows my family. My god, the school is RIGHT ON THE WATER. It's stunning. Palm trees, blue water, mountains in the distance...liberal area, apparently a lack of fundies... *sigh*Ooh, and he kissed me. He totally caught me off-guard; I was not expecting it. I do have Eric, though, and I have a long post I'm working on about our relationship. ^^kekekekekeke
Hoppe rode the bus to the mall (~1.5 miles from my house), and walked to the fire station (a few hundred yards). I walked there (up a big-ass hill, and ~1 mi) and we walked back to my house.We spent the day just sitting around and talking. I made some Earl Grey, and we listened to the Turmion Klitt CD, and I introduced him to some other music I like (more Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, some Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock..).Then we went outside, and my bro & I taught him how to play baseball. For a beginner, damn, he can hit the ball pretty far. We were having fun, then he went in and got the tennis balls and rackets.I learn why he could hit the baseball; he's a good tennis player. We bat the ball around for a good bit; he whangs it against the baseball backstop some.Then, my parents come home. They like him! :D We go out for barbeque, and return home. Hoppe & I watch a few episodes of Family Guy (he loved it). I put my arm around his shoulders, and he gave me this smile. :) After that was over, Dad & I take him back to the hostel.I walk him to the door, and give him a big hug and a peck on the cheek. I can be such a pussy.

I don't have a car, so I'm stuck for 3 hours at school every day after my last class until Mom can pick me up.I don't want to get up and leave the computer lab, but I'm hungry as hell (slept through lunch), and the caf is closed. I would also have to walk over to the next building. Which means snack machines, yay. *rolls eyes*Anyone want to buy me a car? This is ridiculous.Hmm.
